A lot has changed over the last year, so here’s an update on what’s been happening at Tasplan and what’s coming up:
We’re adopting the Insurance in Superannuation Voluntary Code of Practice
We’re adopting the Insurance in Superannuation Voluntary Code of Practice (Code), which commenced on 1 July 2018. The Code provides minimum requirements in relation to insurance within super funds.
We’ll be an early adopter of the Code and we’re targeting full implementation of Code-compliant default insurance arrangements by April 2019, ahead of the 2021 deadline.
Our transition plan will be published to tasplan.com.au by the end of 2018. This will detail how and when we’ll meet these requirements.
We’re making improvements for members
Tasplan app
We’ve launched our Tasplan app! It allows members to manage their super account on-the-go with simple and secure 4 digit PIN access.
You can download our new app for Apple and Android. You'll find it on the Apple Store or Google Play.
Combine your super tool
We have a Combine your super tool that makes it easy for members to search for any lost super they may have and also combine their accounts into one.
Information sessions
We offer information sessions throughout the year on a range of super-related topics to help our members get on track for a comfortable retirement.
Whether they’re new to the workforce or planning for retirement, we have an information session that will suit.
And, our members rated us #1 in customer service
At the beginning of the year, we were thrilled to learn that our members had rated us Industry Superannuation Fund of the Year for 2017 in the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards1. Our members are at the core of everything we do and we know they expect the best from us, so to have confirmation that we’re on the right track was extremely satisfying for all of us here at Tasplan.
1Roy Morgan Research Customer Satisfaction ratings are collected from Roy Morgan’s Single Source survey of approximately 50,000 Australians annually – the world’s most comprehensive ongoing single source survey. Tasplan members participating in the survey have been more satisfied than any other super fund members surveyed. Tasplan were monthly winners in September, October, November and December leading to us being named the overall Industry Superannuation Fund of the Year.
